Ok today you will post your paragraph about what you have learned about Mr. Wyatt. You can post it as a comment to this post. Yes I know some of you posted yours yesterday but I would appreciate it if you would post it again here. Also some of you just cut and pasted things that you read from the article about him and I said that was ok, but I would also like something in your own words about his art work. I appreciate what Miranda said in hers. She was honest and stated her opinion and thoughts. If you did put something down yesterday you can copy and paste it today. After that check back to see if anyone has posted anything yet and you must comment on at least two other comments that are made. You have until Monday to do this, but if you can get it done now then you won't have to worry about it over the Thanksgiving Holidays. Have a great one.

Kenneth Wyatt, according to the cowboys who know their trade, is possibly the best painter of the horse in Western art. Kenneth Wyatt paintings are in oil, watercolour, pencil, pastel and charcoal. He is known for his numerous books as author, poet and illustrator.
ReplyDeleteKenneth Wyatt's art works for the public are in original paintings, giclee (canvas) prints, framed prints, matted prints, note cards, Christmas cards, jewelry, and limited edition bronze sculpture and pewter sculpture.
Kenneth Wyatt is best know for his Western art and Christian art. You will see his paintings and prints of cowboys, horses and cattle depicting the lonesome life of the American cowboy.
Kenneth Wyatt creates paintings that depict old west cowboys in different situations. They are for everyone and not just a certain group of people. (Can be put anywhere)
ReplyDeleteHe is very spiritual being a pastor and an artist, so he believes that his gift is strictly from God.
He seems to be a medium to art and other areas of peoples lives. He does not exert too much pressure on to one thing, but finds things that are in his likings.

His art is okay I guess, I wish he had some other kind of style.
ReplyDeleteI like the detail he uses in his paintings, but i don't think i'd want to buy his art.
ReplyDeleteKenneth's paintings are for the joy of everyone. They are in offices, homes, and museum, and among collections of farmers, queens, bankers, movie stars, clergy and almost ever other occupation known. His religious paintings hang in churches of all denominations and in more than ninety countries. Not only does this multiple range of owners make his work widely accepted, but, also, it is his ability to paint a diversity of subjects: landscapes, children, flowers, westerns, portraits and animals. These and more cross his pallet and come alive on the canvas. His mood swings alter his style as well, and one day he may be content to paint apples in a still-life motif, and the very next day he may paint a herd of stampeding horses in a thunderstorm.

ReplyDeleteI think that its really cool that hes not only a painter, he also wrote books and poems...

ReplyDeleteMy question will be. How do you compare yourself to other painters?
ReplyDeletehey mo :), do you think that you could do something like that for a living? Seems easy, but i think there are some stipulations that occur that they are not telling us about...
ReplyDeleteMosays, you're right. He does seem to be a medium to art.

ReplyDeleteHe is a wonderful painter.
ReplyDeleteAt the age of 14, Kenneth was first called to ministry, licensed as a local pastor, then appointed to a local church in central Texas … all within the span of two weeks. Dr. Wyatt is a man dedicated to his calling, evidenced by the tremendous number of hours he spends at the easel. With renewed inspiration from God, family, friends, owners and the awesome examples of great artists in years past, as well as some really fantastic artists of today.
ReplyDeleteI'm not a huge of Jesus paintings, but the fact that he is an amazing artist, I have to give him props! So...kudos to him, and his abilities as an artist.
my question is why cowboys? If he is a pastor, shouldn't he be doing things like portraits of Jesus or something?

ReplyDeleteKenneth Wyatt’s spiritual journey mirrors his own life lesson to "stay within the will of the Father." At the age of 14, Kenneth was first called to ministry, licensed as a local pastor, then appointed to a local church in central Texas.
